Delta Force: Hawk Ops, the long-awaited free tactical shooter, announced for multiple platforms

First-person shooter fans have something exciting on the horizon, as publisher Level Infinite and developer TiMi Studio Group have revealed some exciting news: Delta Force: Hawk Ops, a reboot of the Delta Force series that promises to bring action and realism to new heights. This free-to-play tactical first-person shooter will be available on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), iOS, and Android.

Although the exact PlayStation and Xbox platforms have not been specified, players can expect a full reveal during the event Gamescom 2023: Opening Night Livescheduled for August 22. Excitement is building as we prepare to discover more details about this long-awaited reboot.

In an interview with IGN, producer Shadow Guo shared his enthusiasm for the project, commenting: “Our team has always been interested in creating realistic military-themed shooter games. As a producer, my first first-person shooter was Delta Force, and it left a lasting impression on me. “Delta Force was hailed for its realistic depiction of open-world combat, large-scale multiplayer engagements, and its depiction of the ‘Tip of the Spear’ Special Operations Forces.” Guo continued, “Even today, these features remain immensely attractive and there remains potential for more innovation. We look forward to showcasing the evolution of these features, while continuing the legacy of gameplay pillars. That’s why we decided to reboot the Delta Force franchise. “We are proud to maintain that tradition and create a large, dangerous and unpredictable world, where you must complete various missions, face challenges and earn rewards.”

To maintain the essence of the original Delta Force game in this reboot, Guo mentioned: “We developed the main story with realistic themes, hired real-life actors for character construction, used photogrammetry for 3D world creation, captured motions from military professionals and seek guidance from former Special Forces personnel to ensure an authentic tone of purposeful realism and professionalism within the military theme.” Campaign mode is based on the movie Black Hawk Down, allowing players to experience the “authentic and exciting battles” from the film. The large-scale player-versus-player multiplayer action of the original 1998 game will also return. “Our game designers chose to build an immersive multiplayer battlefield that could accommodate even more players compared to the previous limit of 32 players,” Guo said. “To create a great combat atmosphere on land, sea and air, we designed a variety of combat methods and maps that integrate diverse terrain features, such as vertical height differences and caves, as well as different vehicle routes.”

“In addition, we create unique and technologically advanced vehicles that players can use in the game, including assault vehicles, helicopters, armored vehicles, attack boats, all-terrain vehicles, jeeps, pickup trucks, fighter jets and drones. “These vehicles add to the large-scale player versus player gaming experience.”

With Delta Force: Hawk Ops on the horizon, players can expect an exciting, realistic and action-packed gaming experience across multiple platforms. Keep your eyes open for more information during the full reveal at Gamescom 2023.
