Dune: Spice Wars leaves Early Access and launches in version 1.0 on September 14

The real time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars It will leave the Early Access phase and will be released in version 1.0 for PC through Steam on September 14, as announced by publisher Funcom and developer Shiro Games. Dune: Spice Wars was first released in Early Access on April 26, 2022.

The full version of the game will bring the sixth major update since the game entered Early Access, introducing the opulent and politically astute House of Ecaz. With a total of six factions now competing for the valuable spice, the quest for power is as unpredictable as the sands of Arrakis themselves.

Throughout Early Access, Dune: Spice Wars has continued to grow and refine itself thanks to a clear content roadmap and feedback-driven updates. The newcomers, House Ecaz, wield power like a paintbrush, rapidly expanding their influence on the hostile canvas of Arrakis, where the sun and sandworms devour everything. The prestige of their artwork gives them unique power over the Landsraad, allowing them to compete head-to-head even with the Atreides for political influence.

Dune: Spice Wars is a powerful 4X strategy game played in real time, with countless paths to planetary domination and spice control. Whether in single or multiplayer, gain the advantage through any combination of intrigue, war, politics, industry, and subterfuge.

This adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi classic, Dune, is the narrative foundation on which Dune: Spice Wars is based, and deeply informs the game’s design, going beyond flavor and setting. Epic scope, Machiavellian machinations and brutal betrayals are reflected in every aspect of the gameplay, which remains easily accessible thanks to clear tutorials and a variety of easy-to-learn but difficult-to-master systems and mechanics.
