Flyhigh Works, in collaboration with Studio PICO, has announced a new 2D robot action game titled “The Scramble Vice“, which will arrive on the PC gaming platform, Steam, in 2024. This game promises an exciting side-scrolling experience with robots and action.
The story of “The Scramble Vice” takes place in the year 2048, in a future where technology has advanced significantly, but has also led to an increase in criminal acts involving robots. The biggest perpetrators of crimes are terrorists who become increasingly destructive. Security in the capital is at its lowest point. To address this situation, the Tokyo Police Department’s infamous 9th Mobile Unit, known as “The Scramble Vice,” enters the scene.
Players take on the role of police officer Sakuragi Kei, who is part of the 9th unit and is equipped with an armed exoskeleton suit called “ASURA.” This suit can be equipped with a variety of firearms and melee weapons. Additionally, she has a “Homing Missile” function that follows targets wherever she wants them to go and a “Roll Reinforcement” function that can dodge even the most intense barrage of enemy projectiles.
