UNSEEN registers the name ‘Kemuri’ as its next project

The study UNSEEN, led by Ikumi Nakamura, has filed three logo trademark registrations for “Kemuri,” as well as a fourth registration for an icon on September 6 in Japan, all of which were made public today. The word “kemuri” in Japanese translates to “smoke” in English. UNSEEN was founded in Tokyo in March 2022.

Before founding the studio, Nakamura worked as an artist and director, contributing to games such as Okami, Bayonetta, The Evil Within, and Ghostwire: Tokyo. The studio has staff from diverse backgrounds and is currently working on a new intellectual property that has not yet been announced.

This trademark registration move suggests that UNSEEN has exciting plans in development, possibly related to the meaning of “Kemuri,” which is “smoke.” Fans and followers of Ikumi Nakamura will be eager to discover more details about this project in development that promises to be intriguing and mysterious. We will be attentive to future announcements from UNSEEN.
