World War I Strategy Game “Last Train Home” Coming to Steam on November 28

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Ashborne Games have announced the launch of the World War I real-time strategy game, “Last Train Home.” This game will be available for PC through Steam on November 28. Additionally, as part of Steam Next Fest: Fall 2023, a demo will be released today at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET.

Game description from the Steam page:

Embark on a desperate mission across the deserts of a war-torn land. Your goal is to guide Czechoslovakian soldiers back home aboard an armored train, but the road ahead is full of danger. Caught in the middle of a brutal civil war between the Red and White armies of Russia, your unit must stay in good shape, managing scarce resources and maintaining morale at all costs. Venture through the bleak and unforgiving landscape of Siberia, where the extreme cold and unforgiving environment will push you to your limits. Resources are scarce and your team is exhausted, but you must keep going.

As you progress through the conflict, the horrors of war will surround you. The fate of your legion depends on the actions of a few key soldiers, as you face real-time battles that will determine the outcome of your mission. You must choose your tactics wisely, using all the skills at your disposal to protect your troops and complete your mission. With careful training and development, your squads will become an experienced legion of comrades, ready to face any challenge thrown their way. The decisions you make along the way will determine the fate of your comrades.

Inspired by historical events, the mission of the Czechoslovak Legion and their determination to return to their newly formed republic after the Great War, this game will test your bravery and will to survive. The fate of the last train home is in your hands.
