Gearbox Publishing and developer Hopoo Games have announced that Risk of Rain Returns will be released on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam for $14.99. The franchise returns with a carefully crafted game, beautifully remastered and loaded with new ways to play.
In Risk of Rain Returns, players will be able to immerse themselves in an iconic roguelike filled with unique loot combinations, new Survivors, revamped multiplayer, and much more. Players will be able to discover new ways to play, hone their skills and explore increasingly challenging careers in the world of Petrichor V.
The game features a cast of 15 Survivors, each with unique abilities to master. Among them, two brand new Survivors make their debut. Additionally, The Drifter is introduced, a resourceful fighter who can gather scrap from defeated enemies and generate items that will temporarily buff teammates or, if she prefers, she can use them to unleash massive area destruction.
Risk of Rain Returns offers the ability to play solo or bring together a group of up to four players in online and local co-op game modes. Additionally, the game includes new and improved multiplayer services for a smooth experience.
