663 Games announces roguelite action game “Realm of Ink” for consoles and PC

Chinese publisher 663 Games, in collaboration with developers Leap Studio and Maple Leaf Studio, has revealed the upcoming roguelite action game called “Realm of Ink“. The launch is scheduled for 2024, although specific consoles have not yet been announced. The game will be available for PC through Steam.

In “Realm of Ink,” players will take on the role of Red, a skilled swordswoman, in her pursuit of a cunning fox demon. However, Red discovers that she herself is a fictional character within a collection of short stories called “Realm of Ink.” Only by unraveling the dark secrets of the Spirit of the Book will Red discover the truth of her existence and challenge her destiny.

The story takes place in a virtual kingdom called the “Realm of Ink”, where the inhabitants exist unknowingly as mere creations within a fictional world. Controlled by the mysterious Spirit of the Book, they obediently follow predetermined destinies, knowing nothing of their cyclical lives. In this realm, the puppets awaken, and players will begin as the swordswoman Red before progressively unlocking other characters.

With the help of the ancient Script-Bound Fox and the immortal power of the mysterious Fox Blood, players must defeat four bosses to claim their own destiny. During the journey, the lost Ink Gems are rediscovered and the truth behind the Spirit of the Book is gradually revealed. Soon, Red and others will discover that they are fictional characters in the Realm of Ink, facing inevitable fate as the old world collapses and a new one forms in endless cycles of destruction.

Get ready to dive into this exciting roguelite adventure when “Realm of Ink” launches in 2024.
