Visual novel fans are in luck, as Aniplex and TYPE-MOON have announced that the visual novel remake, Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Switch in summer 2024 in the west. This acclaimed masterpiece by Kinoko Nasu and TYPE-MOON will be reintroduced with a host of improvements and additions.

Physical Limited Editions Available: Tsukihime lovers will be able to purchase physical limited editions for $79.99. These editions will feature additional and exclusive content for true fans of the story.

Visual Novel Details: Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, first released in Japan on August 26, 2021 for PlayStation 4 and Switch, compiles the two stories that make up the “Near Side of the Moon” part of the original Tsukihime: the setting of Arcueid, “Moon Princess,” and Ciel’s stage, “Midnight Rainbow.”

Creator Kinoko Nasu has carefully disassembled and reconstructed the story, updating the setting to 2010s Tokyo and expanding the narrative. This reimagined presentation will thrill players with its intense tension and realism.

With a visual evolution, beautifully crafted animations and music, Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon offers a new interpretation of TYPE-MOON’s genre-defining classic.

Renewed History: The story follows Shiki Tohno, seriously injured in his youth, who returns home after the death of his father. He embarks on a new chapter as the eldest son of the illustrious Tohno family, but the life of luxury is not a good fit for him. With an updated lore and expanded narrative, Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon promises to immerse players in a captivating experience.

Celebrating Twenty Years of Tsukihime: This release marks the celebration of twenty years since Tsukihime’s creation in 1999 as a standalone visual novel. The masterpiece will be retold, refined and reimagined to captivate both new players and those who have enjoyed the story over the years. Get ready to relive the beauty of the moon in a unique visual experience!
