Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Delayed

Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios have announced a delay in the highly anticipated “Next Generation Update” of Fallout 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. The release window, previously scheduled for 2023, has now been moved to 2024. A tweet from the official Fallout account thanked fans for their patience and shared the news:

“Thank you for your patience as we work on the next-gen update for Fallout 4. We know you’re excited, and so are we! But we need a little more time and we look forward to an exciting return to the Commonwealth in 2024.”

As previously announced, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will be available as a free upgrade for existing owners on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. New features will include performance modes for high frame rates, quality features for a resolution of 4K gameplay, bug fixes, and additional Creation Club content.

An improved experience on the way for Fallout 4 fans

Despite the delay, the Fallout community can expect an improved wasteland experience. Improved performance modes and quality features promise to take gameplay to a new level, and the inclusion of additional Creation Club content will provide even more fun for loyal fans of the series.

Updated release date and gratitude to the community

The new 2024 release date marks a new milestone for eager Fallout 4 fans, who now eagerly anticipate the return to the Commonwealth with all the improvements the next-gen update promises to deliver.
