Publisher Perp Games and developer Moonless Formless have announced that the 2.5D horror RPG, Withering Rooms, will be released for unspecified consoles, in addition to its previously announced PC release. The PC version is currently available in Early Access via Steam from October 4, 2022.
Game Description: Welcome to Mostyn House, once a beautiful Victorian mansion that is now rearranged every night and filled with the walking dead, invisible ghosts, evil witches and mad men with axes. She takes on the role of young Nightingale in this challenging 2.5D RPG that draws inspiration from roguelikes, Soulslikes, and classic survival horror games. She explores an expansive procedurally generated map that includes all of Mostyn House and the labyrinths of hedges, tombs, caves, churches and ruins that lie beyond its doors.
Create your own perfect set by finding or crafting a wide variety of weapons, tools, spells, costumes and magical artifacts. Face a series of strange friends, merchants and liars, each with their own agenda. Can Nightingale find a way to escape Mostyn House, or will she become powerful enough to control him?
