Alawar has announced Beholder: Driver, a spin-off of the acclaimed Beholder series in which players take on the role of a conductor on the Determination Bringer train. The game will be available for PC through Steam, although a release date has not been announced.
About the game:
In Beholder: Conductor, players are appointed as the main driver of the legendary Determination Bringer train, which all citizens of our vast country are happy to see in their cities. The player’s responsibilities include maintaining order in the assigned carriage and providing assistance to passengers along the way. The tools available are inform, intimidate, search and expel. Remember: the driver is always right!
Main features:
- Monitor passengers. Carefully observe everyone who enters the carriage and decide what to do with fare evaders. Observe and report any suspicious, unauthorized activity and basically any passenger activity. Search your luggage and call the police if you find prohibited items.
- Move forward on the train. Get access to the dining car or VIP compartments and carriages where high-ranking officials and big industrialists travel. Keep an eye on your colleagues and report if they accept bribes or transport prohibited goods. The Ministry will not let your dedication go unnoticed.
- Complete secret missions. Earn the trust of your superiors to receive special assignments. The level of secrecy will depend on your loyalty, and completion will be rewarded with a bonus or even a promotion. You will also encounter smugglers: transporting their packages along the route is risky, but profitable. Visit various stations and remote corners of the country. Make difficult decisions that will determine the fate of passengers and your colleagues. What kind of person will you be at the end of the journey? The choice is yours!
With an intriguing premise and gameplay focused on moral decision-making, Beholder: Conductor promises to offer players a unique experience in which each choice will have significant consequences.
