NieR: Automata exceeds eight million units sold worldwide


Square Enix has announced that the total worldwide sales and digital sales of NieR: Automata They have exceeded eight million units. This figure represents a significant increase since the last report in April 2023, when the game reached 7.5 million units sold.

NieR: Automata, a game acclaimed by critics and gamers for its exciting narrative, unique gameplay, and stunning art design, was first released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, 2017. It later came to PlayStation 4 in North America on March 7 and in Europe on March 10 of the same year. The game was also released for PC via Steam globally on March 17, 2017, and for Xbox One worldwide a year later on June 26, 2018. A special edition titled “Game of the YoRHa Edition ” was released for PlayStation 4 and PC in February 2019. Later, in October 2022, an edition for Switch titled “The End of YoRHa Edition” was released.
