Cataclysm, a real-time strategy and tower defense game, will be released for PC via Steam on July 16


Developer Digital Sun has recently revealed that its next title, Cataclysm, will be available for PC via Steam on July 16. This real-time strategy and tower defense game invites players to defend humanity’s last bastion in a devastated world, building fortresses brick by brick to repel waves of Horrors.

Cataclysm represents an important milestone for Digital Sun, as it is their first self-published title. Previously, the studio developed the hit action RPG Moonlighter (which has sold over two million copies) and the acclaimed League of Legends spin-off, The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. With Cataclysm, Digital Sun not only moves forward in terms of reach and innovation, but also moves closer to realizing its dream as one of the leading independent studios.

According to the game description provided by Digital Sun, in Cataclysm, players will design fortresses, optimize production in the citadel, train and deploy a wide variety of troops, and make impactful tactical decisions along the way. The game features a 30-hour single-player campaign complete with voice acting and cutscenes, where players will become master builders and survivors as they team up with Lady Iris, the most promising scholar of humanity’s last city, in a story of hope and home.

In addition to the single-player campaign, Cataclysm also offers Survival, Creative, and Skirmish modes, each with unique ways to play. Whether facing endless, challenging waves of horrors, or building without limitations or fear of monsters, there are many exciting adventures beyond the main story of Cataclysm.

Key features include LEGO®-inspired brick-by-brick tactical fortress building, the ability to mix and match over 100 pieces to build physics-based fortresses, defense against nighttime waves of Horrors, and a cast of troops. with unique tactical specialties.

Cataclysm promises to offer an immersive and challenging experience for fans of strategy and tower defense games, with hours of gameplay and varied game modes that guarantee a lot of content and fun for players.
