New Hand-Painted Hidden Object Game Sophia the Traveler Coming to Switch and PC on Steam on April 11


Publisher Thermite Games and developer Memo Gogo announced that the hand-painted hidden object game, Sophia the Traveler, will arrive on Switch and PC via Steam on April 11 for $8.99 / €8.79. The Switch version was recently announced. It will be available at a 10 percent discount on the launch price, with pre-sales on the Nintendo eShop opening on March 21. The game will feature language options in English, Italian, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. An 80-page full-color digital comic will also be available for purchase.

“In creating this game, we spent years virtually exploring every corner of Venice through Google Maps and travel books, just to accurately recreate this romantic city,” Janalyn and Leo of Memo Gogo said in a press release. “And now, we can’t wait to let Sophia the Traveler take all of our players to experience the magic of Venice firsthand, even if they haven’t had the chance to visit.”

Sophia the Traveler, developed by a loving couple who have never been to Venice in person, managed to “reconstruct” all of Venice based on travel books and Google maps in the digital world.
