Metroid Prime 4 had been announced in 2017, only for the game’s development to be redone a few years later. It was then re-revealed last year as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. However, the game’s development being restarted is likely not the only reason why the game took so long to be shown. It’s also very possible that the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.
Sure enough, the latest Switch 2 rumor is supporting that theory. Content creator and game developer interviewer Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly has major connections to former and current Metroid Prime devs, and recently took to social media to mention that they expect Metroid Prime 4: Beyond to be at Nintendo’s Switch 2 Direct on April 2nd. In fact, they’re “90% certain it will be in the Direct”. You can see his remarks about the matter down below.
Nintendo are constantly tweaking directs right down to the last minute but as of now I am 90% certain it will be in the Direct.
