Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics to get new features on Switch 2

All of the retro libraries that have been available on Nintendo Switch Online will be available on the Switch 2, and you’ll be able to check them out on the day the console launches. What’s interesting is that the retro libraries are getting renamed subtitles. They will now have “Nintendo Classics” subtitles, when it was “Nintendo Switch Online” previously.

What’s also interesting is that one retro library in particular is going to be getting new features on Switch 2. Nintendo has announced that, on the new console, the Nintendo 64 retro library app will add a “new CRT filter to add a retro feel to your games, button remapping for each game’s controls, and a Rewind feature in case you want to turn back time and undo a mistake”. It is unknown if the same features will also be coming to the retro library on the Switch 1.
