Taking influences from horror film history, this game will pit you against a variety of threats, from alien entities to AI-enhanced sharks, all while trapped in an infinite time loop filled with serial killers. Your only help will be your deceased selves from the past.
Both Swery and Suda made an appearance at the event to talk about the game. Swery shared how this unusual collaboration began, with Suda proposing the idea of working together on the fly, without prior discussion. He also revealed that he was inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s film “The Shining” for this project.
Suda explained that the two designed the initial concept together and highlighted Swery’s commitment to making it a reality. According to Suda, many times when someone talks about a project, it never comes to fruition, but Swery managed to make Hotel Barcelona a reality to give something to the fans.
