Publisher ATLUS and developer Studio Zero have revealed exciting details about the upcoming release of Metaphor: ReFantazio. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store in Fall 2024.
The plot of Metaphor: ReFantazio takes place in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, where the assassination of the king plunges the land into chaos and unrest. In the midst of this chaos, a magic unique to the king called Royal Magic is invoked, triggering a royal tournament for the throne. The protagonist, along with his companion, the fairy Galica, embarks on a quest to break the curse that has fallen on the prince the kingdom believes dead.
The story immerses us in a fantastic world where unity is crucial to elect a new king. To achieve their goal, the protagonist and Galica must participate in the tournament for the throne, forging alliances with friends and followers from various tribes that inhabit the world. The experience is enhanced by an intuitive and beautiful user interface, as we explore a vast and magnificent fantasy world.
