Square Enix promises better Xbox support in the future


Las Vegas, USA – During the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2023 In Las Vegas, Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu promised better support for gaming platforms. Xbox in the future. Excitement raged among fans as Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer appeared on stage to announce the Xbox Series version of Final Fantasy XIV, along with the game’s producer and director Naoki Yoshida, before Kiryu left. join them.

“What I really appreciate about (Naoki Yoshida) and his team is that they put the player at the center of everything they do,” Spencer said onstage. “It couldn’t be clearer than watching his performance today. At Xbox, we share a very similar ethos when it comes to our players. We’re truly inspired by how you’ve made Final Fantasy XIV, with (everyone), a global success, and we want to bring the Xbox community and its Warriors of Light together in a way that’s safe, strong, engaging, and most of all, fun. Additionally, we view this as a key moment in our relationship with (Square Enix) and the Final Fantasy team as we look to collaborate more closely in the future.”

Spencer continued: “The entire Xbox team is excited to see how our new Warriors of Light will use the full capabilities of Xbox Series X and Series S to help save Eorzea. And I’m excited to partner with you, Yoshida-san, and your studios as you bring this incredible franchise to global platforms to allow more gamers to connect and experience the joy of playing together.”

Kiryu then joined Spencer and Yoshida on stage and thanked Phil-san for working with them to make the Xbox version of Final Fantasy XIV possible. “This is a project that would not have been possible without the support of (Phil),” said Kiryu. “I think I can speak for myself, (Yoshida) and all of our Warriors of Light here watching the live stream when I say how excited I am to see Xbox support added, and to welcome countless new friends. to the world of Final Fantasy XIV. Final Fantasy XIV is only going to get bigger and better, so to all Xbox gamers out there, I urge you to give Final Fantasy XIV a try.”

He added: “And one more thing, as CEO of Square Enix, we want to continue delivering great games to fans around the world, and of course, we want to welcome the Xbox community as well. Starting with today’s announcement that Final Fantasy XIV will arrive in Spring 2024, and wherever possible, we’re planning to bring our games to Xbox for players around the world to enjoy.
