Amazon’s Silent Hill f pre-orders feature an exclusive Steelbook in the UK

Amazon UK is offering the exclusive Steelbook case with pre-orders of Silent Hill f. That’ll be welcome news for those disappointed by GAME’s mishandling of Silent Hill 2 pre-orders last year, which left many fans empty-handed.

Silent Hill f + Steelbook (PS5/Xbox)

£69.99 – Release Date: TBC

At the time, customers told Eurogamer they had received standard copies instead of the Steelbook edition they specifically ordered. Some were later told the Steelbook would arrive separately, with no clear delivery estimate, while others never received that update at all.

Fans will be hopeful that things will be smoother this time around with Silent Hill f. The exclusive Steelbook edition is listed for £69.99, £2 more than the standard price, on both PS5 and Xbox. But, it’s also worth noting that Amazon will charge at dispatch, which might still be a while off yet.

While we don’t know a great deal about the other Silent Hill project, Townfall, just yet, NeoBards Entertainment’s Silent Hill f is currently expected to arrive in the next year or two.

As for what Silent Hill f will involve, that’s a little up in the air right now. The game’s storefront descriptions explain that it’s set in the 1960s in Ebisugaoka, where Shimizu Hinako’s home becomes a haunting nightmare after a sudden fog descends.

“As the town falls silent and the fog thickens, Hinako must navigate the twisted paths of Ebisugaoka, solving complex puzzles and confronting grotesque monsters to survive,” it adds, which sure sounds like Silent Hill.

It seems it won’t pull its punches, either. Silent Hill f’s Mature Content description on Steam mentions “depictions of gender discrimination, child abuse, bullying, drug-induced hallucinations, torture, and graphic violence.”

Nice and cheerful, then.
