Elden Ring will be released for Nintendo’s Switch 2 console as the Tarnished Edition.
As announced at today’s Direct, the game will arrive on the new handheld hybrid this year.
Presumably, it will include the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC too.
While Dark Souls Remastered was released on the original Switch, no other Soulsborne games are available on Nintendo consoles.
The release on Switch arrives three years after Elden Ring’s initial release across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. That was followed by the Shadow of the Erdtree release last year.
By the end of last year, Elden Ring had sold 28.6m copies globally across all platforms, with sales receiving a significant boost thanks to the DLC expansion.
No doubt that will be boosted further by this Switch 2 release.
There’s no news, though, on a Switch 2 release of Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware’s forthcoming co-op roguelike that launches in May.
