Game Informer and its team returns with new owners

You may recall that, last summer, it was officially announced that Game Informer would be closing its doors after being around for 33 years. It was just yet another example of layoffs and closures that had been tragic theme throughout 2024. A lot has happened in the gaming industry in the nearly 8 months that have passed, including the grand unveiling of the Switch 2, but unfortunately, Game Informer wasn’t around to cover any of it.

But, there is some very good news to share with you. Game Informer has confirmed that they are back in business under new ownership, and the team that had existed at the time of the closures have fully returned too. They have confirmed that their print magazine will be returning in the future, and it was revealed that they had been working behind the scenes to keep up with what had been going on while they were closed.
