Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been out just over a week, and the critically acclaimed game of the year contender is already seeing some impressive discounts. Over at Amazon UK, you can grab it for £40.99 on PS5 and £39.99 on Xbox—shaving up to £10 off its usual RRP.
PC players aren’t left out either. There’s a 10% launch discount on Steam, while trusted key reseller Fanatical is offering 20% off Steam keys as part of its ongoing Level Up Sale.

Currys has also entered the fold, matching Amazon’s £40.99 price for PS5. That’s particularly useful now that Amazon’s PS5 stock is showing a 1–2 month shipping delay. As for Xbox owners, £39.99 with free next-day delivery remains the best value.
Don’t mistake the markdowns for a lack of quality—quite the opposite. Clair Obscur is sitting at an impressive 92 on Metacritic, with critics praising both its ambition and execution.
As Eurogamer’s Ed Nightingale wrote in his Expedition 33 review: “It’s an ambitious yet impressive debut from the studio that, despite a somewhat fanciful narrative, is a pensive examination of grief and the power of art.”
“And while the development team has chosen to focus on certain areas to the detriment of others, where it succeeds it really excels. Clair Obscur may be a painting with a limited colour palette, but the result is a bold and striking vision.”
If you’re not playing on Xbox Game Pass and want the best value for one of 2024’s most acclaimed RPGs, Amazon UK is currently the top pick for both PS5 and Xbox editions.
