While Elden Ring 2 is not on the cards, spin-off Nightreign will be released on 30th May across PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and, of course, PC.

Players who take to Elden Ring Nightreign on its release will have to “outlast a three day-and-night cycle, making split decisions about combat and exploration across changing maps to become strong enough to take down terrifying bosses at the end of each day”.

Players will be able to choose to play as one of eight Nightfarers, including a powerful barbarian warrior Raider and the sniping Ironeye.

Our Ed has already gone hands-on with Nightreign.

“Nightreign provides a delectable hit of Elden Ring in a repeatable microcosm,” he wrote in Eurogamer’s Nightreign preview. “It’s got the difficulty, the levelling, the boss battles, and the sense of discovery, but all at high speed for a new type of challenge, while its grim enemy selection is like a best-of Souls mixtape I’m itching to replay.”
