Electronic Arts, or EA for short, have had a presence on Nintendo consoles for a long time. For example, the EA Sports FC games, which were previously called FIFA until a few years ago, have been releasing on the Nintendo Switch ever since the hybrid console released back in 2017. EA even released some video games on the Wii U.
Those video games were the Madden NFL games. The games had been getting releases on Nintendo consoles for years. EA even released Madden games early in the Wii U’s life. However, they stopped in 2013 when it was quickly becoming clear that the Wii U was struggling. A Madden game has not released on a Nintendo console ever since.
That is now no longer the case. For the first time in 13 years, EA is releasing a Madden game on a Nintendo console. Madden NFL 26 has been officially announced for the Nintendo Switch 2. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will be releasing on August 14th. Nintendo of America relayed the news on their official social media accounts, so you can see their post about the matter down below.
