Sony’s PlayStation brand has been around for three decades, and while I process this and turn to dust, there’s good news for anyone who missed out on the company’s festivities to celebrate the occasion.
On September 29, fans can expect another fresh shipment for the PS5 Digital Edition with the grey colourway that’s most commonly associated with the first Sony system, direct from PlayStation’s own store, as well as some accessories.
The UK-specific restock will go up for pre-order on July 21, at 10 am, and PlayStation Plus subscribers will get early access for 48 hours.
Other buyers can jump in at the same time on July 23, but Sony has warned the stock is available in “highly limited quantities” from its store.
Available for order will be the 30th Anniversary PS5 Digital Edition Console Bundle, 30th Anniversary DualSense Wireless Controller, and 30th Anniversary PlayStation Portal.
It’s worth noting that the PS5 Pro bundle isn’t available as part of this restock. The console was only available in this unique design for 12,300 units (a reference to the console’s 3rd December launch date, apparently), so don’t expect to get your hands on one of those.
If you do buy the console, you’ll get the matching controller, a retro-themed cable to connect it with, and some assorted tidbits like cable ties, a sticker, a poster, and, uh, a paperclip.
