Pokemon GO hints at future support in 9th anniversary art

Pokémon GO celebrates its 9th anniversary with some special artwork made by Pokémon GO’s character designer, Yusuke Kozaki. The piece includes some implemented game features like Dynamax and Galar Pokémon, but also some additions that aren’t in the game.

The most obvious new detail is the paradox Pokémon: Iron Treads and Great Tusk. Not only will future updates include new Pokémon, but will also include some improved social features from the trainer’s blue thumbs up. More varied details from the artwork hint at the game’s future support, which the developers state, “We’re also incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continuously improve Pokémon GO with new features, engaging events, innovative ways to discover Pokémon and more.”

There are still improvements planned for the game, as they describe “The tenth year of Pokémon GO is looking bright.”
