Popcannibal announces Kind Words 2 (lofi city pop): the sequel to the simulation game that promotes kindness and empathy

Developer Popcannibal has revealed Kind Words 2 (lofi city pop), the long-awaited sequel to their simulation game that focuses on generating positive messages and emotional support. The new installment will be available for PC through Steam in 2024.

Popcannibal founder Ziba Scott explained the motivation behind Kind Words 2 in a press release: “We created Kind Words 2 because there aren’t enough spaces online where strangers can be openly and affectionately honest without worrying about likes, subscriptions, etc. , followers and any other garbage that gets between people just talking to each other.”

Kind Words 2 presents itself as a place where you can be yourself without worrying about fitting in. It is a social space without followers, without likes, without subscriptions. In this environment, real people connect to make themselves feel seen, heard, and less alone. Kind Words players have exchanged more than five million letters, expressing concerns and comforting each other. The game has won a BAFTA award and is one of the highest-rated games on Steam.

The new installment will include an improved version of the original Kind Words, with polished rooms and a redesigned user interface for greater accessibility. If you’ve played Kind Words, all of your old cards and favorites will be available in Kind Words 2, as everything runs on a single shared server. Exchange cards and stickers with players from both games!

Kind Words 2 offers the opportunity to care and be cared for by real people in a video game, highlighting the importance of kindness and kind words. Sometimes all you need is a few kind words.
