“Millions of readers of all ages have fallen in love with Moomin stories,” Moomin characters managing director Roleff Krakstrom said in a press release. “For them, this game will offer a new vision of familiar characters, in situations that could have taken place in the original stories, but come to life in a dazzling new setting. At the same time, the game is a wonderful introduction to the characters for audiences unfamiliar with the Moomins, and who are sure to find their favorites among the cast.”
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a story-rich musical adventure game about Snufkin restoring the valley and helping the eccentric and memorable characters and creatures that call it home. A series of horrible parks have appeared in Moomin Valley, disturbing the landscape and its harmonious nature. As Snufkin, you will distract police officers, remove signs and tear down misplaced statues while restoring nature and the homes of inhabitants, putting an end to the plans of the industrious Park Guardian.
The game offers a cozy and story-rich experience with open world mechanics, puzzles, stealth and melodic elements. Players will immerse themselves in a beautifully designed and quintessentially Nordic world, full of emotions and melancholic atmosphere. Meet more than 50 charming characters and creatures who call Moominvalley home and discover the charm of it through quests inspired by the work of Tove Jansson.
Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley promises an immersive experience with a beautiful soundscape of music and melodies composed in collaboration with Sigur Ros.
