In the announcement, Krueger expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work on several dream projects during his time at Housemarque. He commented: “During my 14 years at Housemarque, I have had the incredible fortune to work on one dream project after another and have had the privilege of working alongside some truly talented and wonderful people along the way.”

Krueger also reflected on Housemarque’s growth, from smaller arcade-inspired titles to the magnificent heights reached with Returnal. “We truly shook the sky together, and I will always be proud of all the incredible things we have accomplished as a studio,” he added.

Despite it being a difficult decision, Krueger is excited for the future, citing a new project in development, a fantastic team stronger than ever, and the continued support of Sony and PlayStation Studios. “I know that Housemarque’s brightest chapter is yet to be written,” he said.
