Switch 2 pre-orders have been restocked at Amazon UK for its release week

The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally launching this week, and Amazon UK has restocked pre-orders just in time for you to grab your own before the 5th of June.

Specifically, the retailer is selling the £395.99 base unit, while the bundle including a digital code for Mario Kart World is still currently unavailable.

While the product page states a delivery day of Saturday, the 7th of June, we’ve received numerous Amazon rep reports stating that orders will, in fact, arrive on the June 5th release date.

We speculate that the currently stated late release date is merely down to a peculiar way in which Amazon’s ordering system works.

Both SKUs have been frequently popping in and out of stock since pre-orders started going live across stores, but the MK World version was only ever going to be a limited edition. With that, it seems like the base version with just the console will only be available.

Be that as it may, you can still grab Mario Kart World à la carte for £66.99 digitally, or around £75 for physical copies at retailers like Amazon, Currys, and Argos.

The same goes for the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition — currently £56.99 at Argos, £59.99 at Currys, and £64.95 at Amazon.

With GAME cancelling Switch 2 pre-orders so close before launch, Amazon has swooped in at just the right time.

Still, we’re expecting future restocks at online stores to be rather short-lived whilst demand remains high, so be sure to grab yours if you currently aren’t set to have Nintendo’s new console on launch day.

If you’re planning to grab a lot of games on the system, the best value Micro SD Express card for the Switch 2 just got cheaper, too.
