WrestleQuest suffers a last minute delay until the end of August

If you were looking forward to the release of the wrestling themed RPG, WrestleQuest, for today, it seems that letter was subject to change. The game has suffered a last minute delay and now the August 22nd. The developer Mega Cat Studios and the editor Skybound Games They announced the delay last night, explaining that it was due to the discovery of a bug in the save game function. The statement reads: “When we were conducting final checks on one of our launch platforms, we discovered that it was possible for players to lose their match progress when playing WrestleQuest on multiple different devices. Because this is a game packed with hours of content and player progress is so important, we could never leave our fans on the hook like that.”

While it’s disappointing to see the game delayed a few hours before its release, it’s nice that the team caught this issue before it could affect players. Curious wrestling and RPG fans will have to wait a couple more weeks, but at least they will be able to play with a little more peace of mind.

WrestleQuest is set in a world modeled after action figure wrestling leagues, with protagonist Randy “Muchacho Man” Santos on a quest to become the ultimate superstar. Inspired by classics like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI, you’ll team up with a large cast of fighters to unleash special attacks and team moves on your opponents. In addition to fictional personalities, several real wrestlers appear in the game, including Jeff Jarrett, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Sgt. Slaughter, among others. WrestleQuest will be available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Switch, PC and on mobile devices through Netflix.

Although the wait has been prolonged, it looks like it will be worth it for fans looking to immerse themselves in the action and excitement of the world of WrestleQuest. Mark your calendars for August 22 and get ready to step into the ring of this exciting wrestling RPG!
