Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is coming to multiple platforms


Excitement is in the air for fans of classic shooters, as Nightdive Studios has announced the release of a remastered version of Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion. This iconic first-person shooter game is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on November 14.

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion is a faithful restoration of the legendary first-person shooter that originally released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64. Now, thanks to the proprietary engine KEX Engine of Nightdive Studiosplayers will be able to enjoy this classic on modern gaming devices with up to 4K resolution and an astonishing 120 frames per second.

Larry Kuperman, Director of Business Development at Nightdive Studios, expressed his excitement about delivering this enhanced version of the classic, stating: “The Turok series is one of the classic pillars of gaming, and being able to provide the newest and most improved version of Turok 3 : Shadow of Oblivion is a great achievement.”

The remaster will include gameplay improvements, high-resolution textures, improved lighting and rendering, and support for console controllers with platform-specific features. Besides, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion will use the latest version of the engine KEX Enginewhich will allow greater visual fidelity in 3D models, textures and graphic effects.

The story of Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion follows siblings Joseph and Danielle Fireseed, who team up to face the fearsome antagonist Oblivion and his retinue, the Flesh Eaters. This epic remastering closes the trilogy of remasters of Turok along with the popular Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil.
