Luna Abyss presents new “Incarcerate” trailer at Gamescom 2023

Bonsai Collective has released a new trailer for its bullet-hell first-person shooter, Luna Abysstitled “Incarcerate,” as part of the showcase at Gamescom 2023. The trailer highlights key characters Aylin and Fawkes.

“Story is an important part of the Luna Abyss experience that Bonsai Collective has been developing, so it’s great to finally be able to put it front and center in this new trailer,” said Benni Hill, creative director of Bonsai Collective, in a Press release. “We can’t wait to show the game to more of our colleagues at Gamescom.”

The unreleased video sheds light on both characters’ roles in the game’s story, with Aylin serving as the player’s guide as they traverse the various environments in the heart of Luna Abyss. Players will find that those who venture into Luna Abyss must uncover the mysteries of the mimetic moon-turned-prison planet, as well as the abyss within its depths. Aylin is the main guide when you leave your cell, playing the role of governor of the Blood Moon Penal Colony. Following the direction of the mysterious “All-Father,” her main goal is to help and support the Explorers in her care, although her somewhat patchy understanding of humans sometimes leads her to make questionable decisions.

The trailer also details the game’s protagonist, the prisoner Fawkes, imprisoned on the Blood Moon for having the characteristic red eyes of the Marked. Alone, scared and thousands of miles from home, Fawkes just wants to survive his doom, but the Abyss holds many secrets and unsuspecting Explorers could discover things best left alone.

With this presentation at Gamescom, Bonsai Collective gives players an exciting look at the world and characters of Luna Abysspromising a unique experience of action and mystery in a first-person shooter.
