TriggerHeart EXELICA launching on Switch on December 14

The game TriggerHeart EXELICA It will arrive on the Nintendo Switch console on December 14, as announced by editor Cosmo Machia. This Switch version will include Arcade Mode and Story Mode, which were added in the console release, as well as an Arrange Mode with adjusted difficulty and a Training Mode for beginners. It will also offer a vertical screen mode, known as “tate mode,” and an online rating mode. Additionally, a sound mode with additional sound sources will be included.

In a distant system, so distant that the light from its stars will never reach Earth, a war was coming to an end. Exelica and Crueltear, humanoid weapon systems called Triggerhearts developed by CHILDA, an interplanetary defense organization, were sent to join the fight against the autonomous combat unit known as the Ver’mith.

In the middle of the battle, just as they had gained the upper hand on Ver’mith, Exelica and Crueltear were accidentally sent to Earth using an emergency teleportation gate activated by Ver’mith. Finding themselves on an unknown planet and without the strength to return home, the wounded Triggerhearts felt desperate, as they did not even have the means to learn the outcome of the battle.

Little by little they recovered from their injuries and finally began to consider Earth as their refuge… until something unexpected happened. A terrifying vision filled the sky. The remains of Ver’mith’s forces had arrived. The gate had reopened… Although Ver’mith’s forces had departed at the same time as Exelica and Crueltear, the instability of the gate caused a delay in their arrival. Ver’mith had chosen Earth as his new base of operations. The invasion had begun. Exelica and Crueltear knew they had no choice but to fight to protect their new home.
