As part of G-Star 2023, publisher Netmarble and developer Netmarble F&C have presented new information, audiovisual material and screenshots for the highly anticipated open-world action role-playing game, “The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin“. This event takes place at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in South Korea until November 19.
Exclusive demo at G-Star 2023: The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin
During G-Star 2023, Netmarble will present a demo version of the new open-world action-adventure and collectible RPG game, “The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin”, successor to “The Seven Deadly Sins: GRAND CROSS”. This game is set in the period between “The Seven Deadly Sins” and “Four Knights of the Apocalypse”.
Tristan, son of the main characters of the original installment, Meliodas and Elizabeth, leads the exploration of various locations with his colleagues in their quest to save the continent of Britannia, where time and space are twisted due to the escape of the “Star “Fragment.” The story of the show focuses on Tristan finding an artifact called the “Star Fragment” while he explores an unknown region near Lake Pernes. A strange phenomenon occurs, and characters from the past return to Britannia.
Players will immerse themselves in the experience of exploring caves by burning tree trunks or digging for minerals, while also facing challenges such as defeating monsters such as a Golem. In addition, they can enjoy original stories by completing missions, such as meeting Hawk and defeating the Werewolf Warriors.
Immersive narrative and stunning graphics
The game’s final plot involves Tristan and his colleagues correcting the space-time distortion on the continent of Britannia, giving players a more robust narrative at launch. Stunning graphics developed with Unreal Engine increase immersion in the story, closely maintaining the art style of the original anime and delighting fans of the series.
The quality of enhanced details, such as hair fluttering, water waves, wind movement and shadows, along with graphics that express the characteristics of different times and places, continue to offer the feeling of watching quality animation, just as established in the first game.
