Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 “New Game+” update delayed


Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games have announced a delay in the long-awaited “New Game+” update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Originally scheduled for 2023, the update will now be released in early 2024. In a message to players, Insomniac Games explained that more time is needed to conduct testing and ensure the quality of the update, which will also include descriptions of audio and other features, meet the developer’s standards. Here is the full message:

“Hello Web-Heads! We have news about the upcoming update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. We know players have been eagerly awaiting features like New Game+ and audio descriptions, among many others. We have been working diligently on these features and need more testing time to ensure the quality is up to our standards. We’re now targeting early 2024 for the game’s next update, and we’ll have a full list of features closer to its release. We’ve heard your feedback and will be adding some highly requested features, including the ability to change the time of day, swap tentacle colors, and replay missions, to name a few! We can’t wait to share more with you in the future. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience as our team works on finishing our next update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2! Thank you, Insomniac Games”

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, currently available for PlayStation 5, will continue to provide players with an enhanced experience with new features and options once the long-awaited update is released.
