Falcom reveals ambitious development plan with promising titles


Falcom, renowned developer of the Trails series, has revealed its exciting lineup of titles currently in development during its investor presentation, titled “Issues Related to Business Plans and Growth Potential,” published via Nikkei today. The company intends to expand both the number of titles it releases and the creation of new content and intellectual property games.

Currently, Falcom releases two to three new titles per year, but as a medium and long-term goal, it plans to increase that number to four or five titles per year in three years, strengthening its development capabilities. The lineup of announced titles includes:

  • Title A: The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuria (Date TBA) – 2024
  • Title B: Trails Series (Date TBC) – In Development
  • Title C: Action RPG (Date TBC) – In Development
  • Title D (Date to be Confirmed) – In Development
  • Ported Titles (Date to be Confirmed) – Development of Three Titles Suspended
  • The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak (Switch) – February 15, 2024
  • Unannounced Title E (Switch) – In Development
  • Unannounced Title F Ported (PS5, PS4) – In Development

Among the announcements, the upcoming launch of The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell, O Zemuriascheduled for 2024. Additionally, the Trails series will continue with an unannounced title (Title B) in development, as well as an Action RPG (Title C) and another mystery title (Title D).

On the other hand, development on three ported titles has been suspended, but Nintendo Switch fans can look forward to the release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak on February 15, 2024. New titles in development are also anticipated for Switch (Title E) and for PlayStation 5 and PS4 (Title F).
