PlatinumGames announces the removal of World of Demons from Apple Arcade

Developer PlatinumGames has reported that World of Demons will be removed from Apple Arcade on January 18. Additionally, starting February 1, all existing downloads of the game will no longer be playable. Surprisingly, PlatinumGames has not provided a reason for ending the action game’s service.

World of Demons, which debuted on Apple Arcade on April 2, 2021, offers players a thrilling combat experience in a world filled with yokai, supernatural creatures, and spirits from Japanese mythology. Developed by PlatinumGames, known for hits like NieR: Automata and the Bayonetta series, this title immerses players in a beautiful environment inspired by traditional Japanese art.

In this game, players take on the role of a samurai leading an army of yokai minions as they go on a mission against evil. Along the journey, they will encounter samurai allies and a variety of yokai, each with their own techniques and possible combinations. The story culminates in a confrontation against the fearsome Shuten Doji, lord of all oni.

With the imminent removal of World of Demons from Apple Arcade, it’s time to sharpen your samurai skills before this gripping story begins.
