Merge Games and Still Running announce the release of Morbid: The Lords of Ire for multiple platforms

Publisher Merge Games and developer Still Running have announced that the horrorpunk action adventure game and sequel to Morbid: The Seven Acolytes, Morbid: The Lords of Ire, will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 23. There is currently a demo available for PlayStation 5 and PC.

About the game: From the creators of Morbid: The Seven Acolytes comes a bloody action adventure with Soulslike elements. Face vile monsters and traverse oceans of blood as you fight to defeat the Lords of Ire in a dark world of pain and suffering. Even in defeat, the Gahars never truly die. They retreat into the darkness and wait patiently until the opportunity to re-emerge presents itself again.

Morbid: The Lords of Ire is a sequel and reimagining of the acclaimed Soulslike isometric action RPG Morbid: The Seven Acolytes, with the heroic Luchador returning once again to face horrifying creatures in a dark and twisted world of pain and suffering.

New Adventure From a New Perspective: Face horrible enemies in a new 3D perspective. Destroy horrendous creatures using a variety of vicious weapons, equipment, and boons to destroy everything in your path!

Advanced Sanity System: Building on Morbid: The Seven Acolytes’ sanity system, how you approach combat can have a dramatic impact on the world around you. Giving in to madness can grant incredible power, but at great personal risk, and will dynamically change how you perceive the world around you.

Explore Tortured Landscapes: Fight across the five terrains of Ire, horrific realms populated by five unique factions, from wintry mountains to rotten cities and beyond. Fulfill your sacred duty to free the lands from the evil that has devastated them.

Face Vile Horrors: Take down everything that stands in your way to face the five fearsome Lords of Ire, increasing the challenge as you search for unique dark and powerful creatures lurking in each level.

Releasing on multiple platforms, Morbid: The Lords of Ire promises to take players on a thrilling and terrifying horrorpunk experience that will immerse them in a dark and sinister world full of unimaginable challenges and dangers.
