THQ Nordic and developers Experiment 101 and Saber Interactive have announced that the Nintendo Switch version of the open-world action RPG Biomutant will be released on May 14. Biomutant is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Humble Store.
Biomutant is a fabled Wung-Fu RPG set in a post-apocalyptic open world, with a unique martial arts style combat system that allows you to mix hand-to-hand combat, shooting and mutant abilities. Key features of the game include:
- A New Approach to Third-Person Combat: The martial arts style combat system allows you maximum freedom of movement and agility by mixing shooting, hand-to-hand combat and powers of your mutations.
- Evolve Your Gameplay: You will be able to reconfigure your genetic structure to change your appearance and way of playing. This will affect your attributes, and additionally, exposure to bio-pollution in the world will lead to mutations such as Turtle Form and Mucus Bubble, while exposure to radioactivity will unlock psi-mutations such as telekinesis and levitation.
- Next Level Craftsmanship: You are totally free when creating weapons. Mix and match parts to create your own unique slashing and smashing weapons. You can also equip your character with different types of equipment, such as gas masks, oxygen tanks, or cold-resistant clothing.
- Survive in a Vibrant Open World: You are free to explore the world on foot, on mecha, jet-ski, hot air balloon, or unique local mounts. Explore the dying wilderness, the networks of tunnels and bunkers of the underworld, and find your way through the mountains or archipelago.
- An Unusual Story with an Unusual Ending: Your actions play an important role in the development of a story where the End approaches the New World. A plague is ravaging the land and the Tree of Life is bleeding death from its roots. The Tribes are divided, needing someone strong enough to unite them or take them all down.
Biomutant promises to deliver a unique and exciting experience for Nintendo Switch players when it launches in May.
