ININ Games announces the release of Rainbow Cotton for multiple platforms

ININ Games has revealed that Rainbow Cotton, a 3D shoot ’em up developed by SUCCESS Corporation, will be released digitally for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on May 9. This will be the first time Rainbow Cotton will be available in the West, following its initial release for the Dreamcast on January 20, 2000 in Japan.

Remake:

The game has been completely reimagined and improved for the current generation. Rainbow Cotton now features stunning graphics, innovative gameplay mechanics, and a new two-player local multiplayer mode. With a more immersive and visually stunning experience, players will be taken through a world full of magic in an arcade-inspired adventure.

Some of the new features include Retro mode, which allows players to experience the charm of the original Dreamcast version, as well as improvements to the gaming experience such as quick aim, controller vibration, and speaker support.

Remaster:

In addition to the remake, Cotton Reboot is a high-definition remaster of the cult classic Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams. This updated version features visual improvements, refined sound and smooth gameplay, offering a celebration of nostalgia with a contemporary twist.

Emulation/Port:

Finally, ININ Games will also release Panorama Cotton, a faithful emulation of the original 1994 SEGA Mega Drive experience. This version features no gameplay changes and no visual enhancements, allowing players to enjoy the classic in its original form.

Rainbow Cotton promises to deliver a unique and exciting experience for fans of the shoot ’em up genre and fans of the Cotton series. Get ready to immerse yourself in this colorful and vibrant fantasy world on May 9!
