Sand Land, based on the manga by Akira Toriyama, will be released on April 26 as an open-world action RPG for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Players will control Beelzebub as he searches for a legendary spring.
Sand Land is an action role-playing video game set in a desert world where humans and demons suffer from a severe water shortage. Developed by ILCA and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game is based on the Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama in 2000. In the game, players take on the role of Beelzebub, the Demon Prince, who along with his team of assorted characters, including Sheriff Rao and the thief Thief, embark on an adventure in search of a Legendary Spring to end the drought that ravages their world.
The gameplay focuses heavily on using customizable vehicles for exploration and combat. Players can equip their vehicles with a variety of weapons and parts to enhance their capabilities in both combat and navigating difficult terrain. The game also offers a strategic component in building and customizing vehicles, allowing players to design machines that fit their play style.
Sand Land also introduces new areas such as “Forest Land”, a contrasting environment with the desert that is part of the plot and provides new challenges and enemies. Additionally, the game incorporates city-building elements, where players can improve and expand a city by gathering resources and completing quests for desert dwellers (Bandai Namco Europe).
“Sand Land” is scheduled for release on April 26, 2024 on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
