Recent Famitsu sales data has revealed that Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2 has already surpassed Mario Kart 8 for Nintendo’s ill-fated Wii U console at retail. Mario Kart World has now shifted 1,365,072 physical copies in The Land of the Rising Sun while Mario Kart 8’s lifetime total is 1,310,444 retail copies sold. That’s quite some achievement when you consider that Mario Kart World only launched on 5th June.
