NatetheHate clarifies why he didn’t know it was a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase today

We found out yesterday that there’s a Nintendo Direct today, but it’s not a typical Nintendo Direct but is instead a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. This is the perfect chance for third party developers to showcase the games they’ve been working on for the system. The rumour from NateTheHate was it was a Nintendo Direct, so some fans were left disappointed to find out it was a partner showcase. When questioned by a fan NateTheHate said that third party partners don’t know the format of the show and are simply told they will be in a Nintendo Direct. So we can assume his source on this one was a third party developer.

“Partners don’t know the format of the show. They are told they are in a Nintendo Direct & they are in one.”
