The long-awaited first-person shooter game, WRATH: Aeon of Ruinis set for official release on February 27, 2024 on PC via Steam, GOG, and Humble Store, publishers 3D Realms and Fulqrum Publishing, along with developer KillPixel, announced.
The game, which has been in Early Access on PC via Steam, GOG, and Humble Store since November 22, 2019, offers players a unique experience. In WRATH, players take on the role of the Outlander, shipwrecked on a dying world. They must embark on the task of hunting down the Guardians of the Old World, with the guidance of the Shepherd of Deviated Souls.
The game, powered by the legendary technology of Quake 1, takes inspiration from 90s classics such as DOOM, Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Unreal and HEXEN, bringing them into the 21st century. Players will be equipped with powerful weapons and artifacts, allowing them to explore ancient ruins, corrupted temples, and howling forests while facing unspeakable horrors.
However, the fight will not be easy, since the enemies are numerous and powerful. Strategy will be essential to survive in the world of WRATH. Additionally, the game promises a rich combat experience, diverse environments, and a captivating narrative.
At the moment, no release date has been announced for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch versions, but fans of classic shooters can look forward to the release of WRATH: Aeon of Ruin on PC on February 27, 2024. Get ready for action!
