MAGES. announces Iwakura Aria, a new suspense visual novel for Switch


MAGES. has revealed the launch of Iwakura Aria, a new thriller visual novel for the Switch console. The game will be released on June 27 in Japan for 4,950 yen in physical format and 4,400 yen in digital download. In addition to the standard edition, a limited edition will be available for 7,150 yen, which will include a soundtrack CD and a set of visual cards.

Iwakura Aria is a new original visual novel from MAGES. It is a dramatic suspense title that portrays the love and hate pattern of human relationships and the strong bonds between women. Set in Japan during a period of rapid economic growth, the game’s rich story, which follows the complex and sometimes contradictory emotions of each character, invites players to relive “that summer” of 1966.

Key features of the game include:

  • Various images decorate the story: The eye-catching illustrations from rising illustrator 100 Years depict the world of the game. The creators of MAGES. They use various textures to represent the essence of the characters and the core of the story.
  • A rich setting that delicately portrays the subtleties of human nature:Who is Aria Iwakura? The closer I get, the further she goes; The more I pursue it, the more I learn about myself. There are nine endings. 33 years after the main story, what kind of life will “I” lead? A completely different future awaits the player depending on his choices.
  • Fully voiced by a wonderful cast: The game is fully dubbed with a main cast including Ichiko Kitagawa (voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro), Aria Iwakura (voiced by Chie Nakamura), and Amane Iwakura (voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa).
