End of development of the adventure game “Revenant Hill”

The announced adventure game Revenant Hill is no longer in development, according to the announcement from publisher Finji and developer The Glory Society. Originally planned for release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam, the game is now on hiatus. Below is the full message from The Glory Society:

Message from The Glory Society:

Friends, followers and fans,

Completing any complex project presents challenges along the way. Games take time to create and usually require a good team working together. We have been lucky to have a good team. Unfortunately, recent serious health issues have forced two key members to step away from the project indefinitely. We are a small team and each of us plays several roles. This is the loss of several roles that are difficult to replace in an environment where all roles are necessary.

Given the realities of timelines, budgets, and the difficult task of reformulating the entire project within those parameters, the team has mutually decided to suspend operations. In all respects, this is the end of the Revenant Hill development. We are a cooperative and we make decisions as a group. For us, this was the clear choice for the well-being of the team, which is frankly more important than the games.

In the future, after the dust settles, maybe we’ll talk about what we’ve created and learned together. In the meantime, we want to thank everyone who worked with us, supported us and believed in us. Sometimes things happen beyond your control that change the options available and you simply have to adapt together.

Glory was a project in itself, and we are proud to have been a part of it. Thank you for caring about what we did. Take care of each other and support the workers who do the work of creating the games you love. See you later.

With this statement, The Glory Society announces the end of development of Revenant Hill due to health challenges that have affected key members of the team. The decision was made with the well-being of the team in mind and we thank everyone who supported the project.
