Yukihana Lamy takes a break due to COVID-19

An important announcement comes from the Hololive Twitter account: The popular Vtuber Yukihana Lamy, a member of the company, has been diagnosed with COVID-19. As a result, she will temporarily stop her transmission activities to recover. The announcement was made on August 12, 2023 in Japan.

Due to his COVID-19 diagnosis, Lamy has had to postpone and delay several of his previously announced appearances. For example, she was scheduled to show off her new Live2D 3.0 model on August 12, 2023, which happened to be the same date she and Cover announced their COVID-19 diagnosis. She also had to miss the Sukodawa radio show. She was originally going to be the guest on episode 147, but she had to cancel due to her illness.

Earlier this year, several Hololive Vtubers had to take a break due to COVID-19. Sakura Miko, Murasaki Shion, Minato Aqua, and La+ Darkness took a break in May 2023. Fortunately, they have recovered and resumed their normal streaming activities.

Yukihana Lamy is part of the fifth generation of Hololive Vtubers. Some of her peers who debuted at the same time include Shishiro Botan and Omaru Polka. At the time of writing this, Lamy has more than 1.14 million subscribers. In addition to game streams, he also uploads songs (both covers and originals) and simulcasts movies.

Yukihana Lamy will take a break from broadcasting to recover from COVID-19. It is not yet clear how long she will be absent. When she returns, she will likely make an announcement on her Twitter page to keep her followers informed.
