Goose Byte announces ‘The Signal’: A new survival and exploration game


The world of video games is about to receive an exciting addition with the announcement of “The Signal“. Montreal-based developer Goose Byte has revealed its new project, a third-person exploration and survival game based on Unreal Engine 5. The game will be available on both consoles and PC, with an initial release in Early Access for PC via Steam, followed by a full release on consoles and PC no later than a year later. “The Signal” is based on three key pillars: exploration, invention and survival, with a unique recipe sharing system and a sustainability theme that seek to stand out among other survival and creation games.

A mysterious and captivating world

According to Goose Byte founder and CEO Theodor Diea, “We are really excited about the world we are building for ‘The Signal’.” The game invites you to enter an unexplored alien planet, full of wonders and dangers. The last humans have left Earth in search of a new home, and as part of a climate refugee expedition, you will venture into the unknown. But this new alien world is not what it seems, and survival will require a deep understanding of the ecosystem and the ability to invent infrastructure, equipment and vehicles to advance.

However, not everything is as it seems, as the planet reacts to your actions and begins to interact with you as you explore deeper. Additionally, you will discover cryptic patterns that are connected to the ecosystem and linked to ancient alien artifacts.
